Well, it's not official information from valve themself, but it's a hypothetical idea for what's under the pyro's mask.

Oh snap. I guess it was just me who forgot about the sniper. I hope to see more of the Team Fortress 2 arc, it's the only thing really that makes me enjoy the comic. :D

I don't think he was cheating on Sniper. After all, he only helped to cheer her up and restore Engie's confidence in herself, and in the end, isn't that what a true team player does? They try to keep the morale of the team up, or it'll plummet and no one will function right.

You know, if Pyros could pull off their mask and become an engie at will, I would play A LOT more pyro.

Or maybe it's a metaphor for the player who we know as the pyro switching to playing the engineer in game and I'm being a nitpicker.
