Uh...you've never been in an arcade have you? At least not back in the arcade glory days, shit wasn't any different than online is now. Except that everybody was far more skilled and devoted to the games. Arcades basically WERE what online gaming is. Random strangers amongst a few friends in games.

I disagree. Maybe it's because I play Blazblue (slightly more obscure than Street fighter), but I find that I find I get far more pleasant messages from those I beat than unpleasant. And I play the most rage inducing character I know.
