O.M.G that bunny costume reminds me of... well nothing actually ''but'' that wolfs head looks like Jon Talbain but without the body, and the graphics ''um'' Sonic mixed with Ghost'n'Goblins!

Brandorr
Your should make the next one just three giant pixels.
Tkun
(continuation)
So it would be better if Jo make the art and give ideas and leave the coding to people who already know how to make games.
Tkun
@Andrew Hall: That would be a better solution. If Jo were to make the game himself not only it would overload him, probably would have a lot of problems (I don't think Jo knows how to program) and his fanbase is very hard to please (and very easy to upset)
Andrew Hall

MrTTAO

I hate how every damn retro style indie game introduces completely fucking pointless giant fucking pixels.
Its 2012, give us 32bit sprites already. It does not take any more effort, just more of the plentiful system resources.

@"my psn: shadowsfall" "How many times has the internet been hacked"
Considering how vague this question is, it's unanswerable. Though, if you're referring to the core DNS servers which are *the* pinnacle of the internet Domain Name System, that would be zero times.
@Trollface

To be fair, UT3 on the PS3 supports mods; it's one of very, very few.

I'm sorry. Sony has good security? Excuse me as I go laugh to death as they get hacked 24/7. Go back to school, kid. :D
Besides, the PS3 is an over-glorified Blu-Ray player.
PC wins for one AMAZING reason.
Mods. Bam, /trolling.

Touhou games are addicting, forget any of the fan stuff. You play for hours memorizing patterns hoping to be lucky enough to avoid entire screens full of bullets and hope you don't look away or even blink, lest you die. Subterranean Animism is probably the hardest and thus most addicting.

Wait, what?!?! You where just accusing PC gamers of thieves last thread yesterday by downloading games illegally yet it's all of a sudden not stealing if it's on a console off a stolen account and not a torrent? What your doing is not like piracy, but worse because your stealing from legit customers
My psn: shadowsfall

You going on about your retarded brothers accunt again huh? butthurt much? also downloads are not disks so its not stealing. sony should thank me for keeping retards off the ps3.
Jedi Master Zoiberg

It's also comedy gold that someone who scams kids out of their psn accounts is trying to accuse all us pc users of being pirates and leeches on the industry. Yet you steal psn accounts and not only steal from other people, But lose sony business by steering people away from sony's platform.

Freezestar

Not all indie games look like that. What about Braid and Bastion, 2 games praised for their good graphics. I think if you make a game, you should make it look like your art, not some retro game.

Indie = pixels
why no love for vectors?
Deadly Sinner
Indie games do this because they have small budgets, and pixel art is a hell of a lot cheaper to make and animate than detailed, high resolution art.
Mouse
In terms of 2D, indie games are some of the only titles to push higher resolutions at all. Even pixelfad games tend to do everything in high res and just use the overpixelation as a sort of art style choice, like Space Invaders Extreme.
zZzZz
What's entertaining is that one of the bigger focuses in retro-system emulators these days is getting rid of ~pixelz~ by emulating the TV the console was connected to: go look up something like Blargg's NTSC filters >.> (important for some games designed around the limitation, like Lunar 2 SCD)
