You've played randomizer x10, yes? Spy with minigun is very much a thing.
@Jo Pereira: I've been saying that games, especially VALVe games, need to find a way to make updates and features optional rather than mandatory. Doesn't work so well with WoW, but... :/
@Jo Pereira: I guess the lack of crosshair was intended to be an asymmetrical decision, where you would have to pick between dodging that bite and missing a shot or tank that teeth impression and getting a snazzy popping head.
@Jo Pereira: I'm not saying you HAVE to like the game, but some arguments feel like you're trying to find an excuse to hate the game. But you've made your point already. You played a while and hated it. I didn't even knew you tried. Sorry if I sounded aggresive.
As a guy who often plays Medic, I have to say that this new feature is sometimes useful to me because a dropped medigun keeps the charge it has accumulated. It means that you can pick up the 100% medigun you/ your teammate / the enemy medic dropped upon the death and keep pushing.

@Joseph Collins: To be fair, the only really useful such tool is the Short Circuit, and any engineer using it would do well to camp his or her buildings--chiefly the Dispenser--so he or she never runs out of metal.
@StormyDrake: Because KF didn't impress me enough to the effort. The market is saturated with shooters which have an awesome out-of-the-box experience.
@Jo Pereira: The crosshairs is always in the center of the screen, right? What if you place a crosshair on the monitor itself? All you'd need is some transparent tape, a marker, and a ruler!
And lastly, I genuinely HATE early access. Never bought one, and I don't like the idea of paying for something that MIGHT or MIGHT NOT be finished.
Rest assured, Tripwire isn't in the habit of half-assed games, and the EA got way more content than a lot of "finished" games.
@Jo Pereira: KF1 is very old, it's unsurprising that's ugly. And let's be honest, the "no crosshair" argument isn't a real argument. It's like that defensive argument that only sounds good in your head. For example:
"I hate half-life, you can't ADS"
The game doesn't need that.
Why do you dislike games with no corsshair, Jo? You can still aim with ADS and can be fun if you take 5 clots out in a row without needing to aim cus you got the aimz
Yeah, players now drop ammo boxes instead of weapons (makes as much sense as picking an empty revolver and turn it into 10 shotgun shells). Swapping weapons is not new though. Loadout already did that, and I'm sure others do too.
@Runic SSB: When picking up weapons for ammo, you only had to run over them. Because of Gun Mettle; you now have to press a certain key.
Also, you want someone to be fired from their job because of a small fixable bug (that's actually just something you misunderstood)? What's wrong with you?
It is weird, but at least killed players now drop medium ammo boxes to make up for it. It's basically the same thing, unless someone nabs a dropped box from in front of you and there just happens to be a weapon you can use to replace the one that's out of ammo. That's when you buy a lottery ticket
Oh, I missed the comment someone made about corpses dropping ammo boxes now. That actually makes things all the worse, for me. And thinking about it, it seems like Valve is trying to make Team Fortress 2 more like classic FPS multiplayer with this "try a weapon" thing... which feels bad, man.
As someone who has actually not played Team Fortress 2 since this update, let me be one of the many (I'm assuming) to say that this aspect of the update is totally bulldonk. Engineers have weapons and tools that run on metal. How inconvenient is it going to be when they run out?
Even though i do miss how weapons turned into ammo or metal i do like how they handled medium ammo packs being dropped liked guns
my biggest problem is that i wish picking up dropped weapons wasn't so precise..
Then again the gun mettle campaign has gotten me back into pubs Thanks valve!
