Don't mind me, I'm just going to sit across the street where I can use ping on a camera and use my power sniper rifle I got from Panam to snipe everyone in the building before entering.
@Aerion Snow: "Physical", "kinetic". Sure, there is no established terminology (pretty much all modern weaponry are based on hitting the target with something material), but in fiction/games/films/etc. "power weapons" almost universally means "non-physical projectiles (deathrays etc.)"
I interpreted it as being 'actual, physical projectiles' versus 'high-tech super-weapons that shoot weird, non-physical projectiles'.
'Power' isn't quite the right tag still, but I can see how someone might choose it as the 'physical projectile' tag.
Tech is a railgun, it uses advanced technology. Power weapons have larger caliber and powder loads, making their bullets hit harder, and thus, more powerful. The idea is that with a Power weapon, you're blasting everything, then those bullets rebound and smash other stuff. Full destruction.
Power weapons do more base damage. So secondary effect is limited. The guns are balanced more about playstyle. Power stand up fight hitting and getting hit. Smart/homing dodge and weave. Popping in and out of cover. And Tech is for keeping hidden and sniping the crap out of things from the shadows.
