You're thinking modern construction timber inside a dry building. This is a pirate ship. It might - might - see its outer hull given a coat of pitch, maybe a bit of whitewashing, here or there. But otherwise, this is unsealed wood floating in seawater. Drying it out would be a terrible idea.

That is true, but not with fresh, wet wood. Wood is usually something you take months or years to dry.
Any ocean-going sailing ship had a workshop on board, as well as one or more carpenters and carpenter's mates. The whole ship is made of wood, and it's not like they could pop down to the local lumber yard when the nearest harbor was days away. They set up a camp onshore, and did it themselves.

Truly the peak of gaming as we know it. Bravo to the lead developer of the AAAA game: Skull and Bones.
It is awful to think such visually stunning graphics have been wasted on games that feel like a chore instead of something entertaining to pass the time.
The whole game was a detriment in general. All I hope is we get another truly successful single player Pirate Game one of these day's (so no, sea of thieves doesn't count). Seriously, pirate game's have so much potential it's ridiculous we've only gotten 1 in So long.
